WATCH: David Hazony and Amitai Fraiman on the Future of Jewish Life
A no-holds-barred podcast about Zionism, Jewish culture, October 7, and this moment of Jewish history.
David H.—This was one of the most challenging—and most important—interviews I’ve done. I was delighted to join Rabbi Amitai Fraiman, director of the Z3 Project and host of the Long Path Podcast, for an hour-long exploration of the Jewish future: Zionism, Judaism, institutions, and the difficult path to a renewal of life in the wake of October 7, antisemitism, and the crazy political moment we live in.
The Jewish people are locked in a battle for survival, more so than at any point in the last half century. We know we should fight antisemitism—but what are we fighting for? What does Jewish life need to look like in our new hybrid reality of sovereignty-and-Diaspora? A lot of what we talked about had been germinating in my head for more than two years. Some of it I’ve managed to put into writing, but most of it is new. Kudos to Amitai for asking the most important, hard questions.
This is what the Z3 Project, and the Z3 Institute I lead within it, are actually about. Leave your thoughts in the the replies! Watch below:
